MVP. Frequently asked questions

Everything we get asked about our fixed-price custom e-commerce MVP - binding estimates, technology, timelines, and scope.

What exactly do I get after 3 months?

You get a working MVP: real software that validates how your business requirements should work in practice. It's built around your specific commerce model and designed to test architecture, workflows, and core business logic in a real application. It is not a final enterprise rollout. It is a functional foundation you can review, test, demo, share with trusted customers, and use to decide what should happen next.

What does "binding estimate" mean?

It means the quoted price is the maximum you pay for the agreed scope. We do the work upfront to understand the problem before committing. If we underestimate the effort required for that scope, we absorb the difference. That's why we only make this offer for projects we believe can be scoped responsibly.

What kind of projects is this best suited for?

This model works best for companies that need custom e-commerce functionality, more complex business logic, or a controlled way to validate a platform rebuild or new commerce initiative. It's especially useful when the business needs clarity and working software before committing to a larger roadmap.

What technology do you work with?

We work with proven, flexible technologies used in modern custom e-commerce delivery, with particularly deep expertise in Symfony and the broader open-source commerce ecosystem. Our team includes former Sylius core team members and contributors, which gives us a rare inside-out understanding of how robust commerce architecture should be designed and scoped.

What if my project is too complex for 3 months?

Then we'll tell you. Not every commerce project can or should be shaped into a 3-month MVP. If the scope is too broad or too unclear to estimate responsibly, we won't force it into this model. The promise only works when the project fits.

What happens after the MVP is delivered?

You decide. If the MVP validates the direction, we can continue with the next stages of delivery. If it doesn't, you still gain something valuable: clarity, working software, and an early answer to an expensive business question.

Is the initial consultation free?

Yes. The initial review and discovery conversation are part of how we assess fit and prepare a responsible estimate.

Can you work with an existing commerce platform or legacy system?

Yes. Many projects start from an existing store, legacy platform, or internal operational bottleneck. In those cases, the MVP helps validate a new technical direction before the company commits to a full migration or rebuild.

Do I need a full specification before contacting you?

No. A rough description is enough to start. What matters more is that you can explain the business problem, the current limitations, and what success should look like. We'll help structure the details during the discovery process.

Is this only for new e-commerce projects, or also for existing stores?

It can be both. Some clients come to us with a new e-commerce idea that needs to be validated before a larger build. Others already have an existing store or platform, but their current setup has become too limiting, too fragile, or too difficult to scale. In those cases, the MVP helps validate a better technical direction before the business commits to a full rebuild, migration, or larger delivery roadmap.

Still have questions?

Send us a short description of your situation and we'll tell you whether it's a fit - and what we'd recommend.
